New Delhi: American tennis player Coco Gauff defeated Hungarian qualifier Timia Babos 6-2 4-6 6-4 to enter the third round of the US Open. She is only 15 years old. They will face world number one Naomi Osaka in the third round. Rafael Nadal reached the third round of the US Open Grand Slam tournament after getting a walkover in the men's category. Defending Wimbledon champion Simona Halep crashed out in the opening round of the US Open for the third consecutive year.
