HONG KONG: A fact sheet on the United States. interference in Hong Kong affairs released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry revealed that the U.S has been plotting to wage a "color revolution" in Hong Kong, the Office for Safeguarding National Security of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has said.

The purpose of the United States is to support anti-China forces in destroying Hong Kong, deny "one country, two systems," and obstruct the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, a spokesperson of the office said, condemning the power politics, bullying and malicious intention of the United States.

The central authorities have taken prompt action to enact the national security law in Hong Kong and implement the principle of "patriots administering Hong Kong," which has effectively cracked down on destabilizing activities and restored peaceful lives for Hong Kong residents, the spokesperson said. Any force that attempts to test the central authorities' bottom line and determination to safeguard national security is doomed to fail, the spokesperson said.

The office will more firmly uphold the spirit of the rule of law, have a stronger sense of responsibility, and adopt more effective legal measures to steadfastly support the HKSAR in implementing the national security law and safeguarding national security to ensure the continued success of "one country, two systems," the spokesperson said.
