Temporary mass vaccination sites across the United States are being restored in order to get more individuals vaccinated and boosted in the newest COVID-19 outbreak caused by the Omicron subtype.

On Saturday, media claimed that "Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island are among the states that have opened or are planning to open sites geared to give hundreds or perhaps thousands of doses every day."

Officials said they are expanding capacity again, mostly to provide booster injections and reach youngsters who have newly become vaccination eligible. After demand decreased last summer, several states moved to smaller, more focused immunisation campaigns.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 66.3 percent of Americans aged 5 and up who are eligible for vaccination are completely immunised (CDC). Booster doses were given to around 38% of fully vaccinated people.
