Beauty products, like all other products, have a shelf life. The shelf life refers to the length of time it can be used. Following that, the use of that product may be harmful to the skin.

If you are a conscientious consumer, I am sure you check the expiration date before purchasing food items from the market. Similar to when purchasing medicines, do you exercise the same caution when purchasing cosmetics? Most women would say 'no,' and to a large extent, this is correct. We use lipstick, mascara, liner, eyeshadow, and kajal until the box is completely empty. If you are one of them, you should be aware that using expired food and medicines is risky, as is using expired makeup products.

Makeup, like any other product, has a shelf life. The shelf life refers to the length of time it can be used. After that, the product spoils. It is, in some ways, the expiration date itself.

Many products do not have an expiration date, but they do have a shelf life; therefore, use such products with the shelf life in mind. Products used on the skin after the expiration date can harm your skin. Because of its use, there is a risk of pimples on the face, redness of the skin, clogging of pores, and skin infections. It is preferable to check the date written on the outer packaging of the products, and if you have accidentally thrown it away and there is no mention of an expiry date anywhere on the product, then you can identify that your makeup product has expired using these methods.
