Amritsar: Senior advocate of Supreme Court HS Phoolka has written a letter to the Jathedar of Shri Akal Takht Sahib, suggesting that Sikhism religion should be used in place of Sikhism Cult in different dictionaries around the world. In a letter to the jathedar, lawyer HS Phoolka stated that these are his personal views. A committee of Sikh scholars should be set up to consider the issue. So that in future no one can misinterpret Sikh creed.

In a letter to Mr. Akal Takht, lawyer HS Phoolka has reminded Giani Harpreet Singh that she had written a letter to him on 14 November. The word Sikh 'Cult' was used by the Supreme Court in the judgment given about the Ram temple land in Ayodhya by this letter. Para number 154-155 of the Supreme Court judgment clearly states that Sikhs do not believe in idol worship. He believes in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Sikhism is also mentioned in the judgment. This decision is accompanied by a separate addition of 116 pages which does not have any signature of any judge. The testimony of Rajinder Singh is mentioned in these pages.

Rajinder Singh has stated in his testimony that he has read many books about the Sikh Cult. This suggests that Rajinder Singh may have used the word 'Sikh Panth' in his testimony but the word Cult used for the cult while translating. Phoolka said that he has been asked many times about the meaning of this word.
