Moradabad: Reports of exodus of Hindus from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh have come to light. Hindus have put up posters of 'Makan Bikau Hai' in a locality in Katghar area. 81 families of Lajpat Nagar Shiv Vihar Colony have collectively put up posters and said they would flee. Locals allege that the houses that are present at both the main doors of the colony have been purchased by Muslim people. It is alleged that they have paid three times more than the current market price for this. Locals allege that Muslims living here throw the remains of meat in front of Hindu houses. This is also causing filth in the area.

Locals say most of the people in the colony are vegetarian eaters. It has been a posh colony where house buying and selling continue. A house built on the corner of Shiv Vihar, another colony adjacent to the same colony, has been purchased by a Muslim family. Local Hindus demand that its registry be canceled. He has demanded from the Government and the district administration that if this is not done, all the 81 Hindu families will be forced to flee and they will have to sell their homes. Local Hindus allege that houses worth Rs 50 lakh are being purchased for Rs 3 crore. At the same time, they have demanded an inquiry from the Government as to where so much money has come from. In fact, there are many Hindus living in this colony who came to India as refugees from Pakistan. When they came to India after suffering from there, they got citizenship and all their rights.

On the other hand, the ADG of Bareilly zone has directed Moradabad police to take action in the matter which has taken cognizance of the matter. Local Hindus allege that Muslims are conspiring to drive them out of the colony. Meat and dirt were thrown in front of the houses during Bakrid. Hindus say that even if they are forced to sell everything and flee from here, they will not convert to Islamic conversions at any cost. Local BJP leaders have also confirmed the allegations made by the people of the colony. Hindus say that fed up with them, they sell their houses at a nominal price and Muslims buy them and buy buses there, that is the conspiracy. The local BJP corporator says that 30 percent of the houses in the colony have been purchased by the Muslim community.
