Meerut: Indian weddings are quite interesting. These marriages are in the news due to wedding rituals, snapping, uproar, frequent fights, burning pills, etc. A similar incident took place at a wedding in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The procession accompanying the groom here acted in such a way that the bride refused to marry. Not only that but an FIR has also been registered in the case. According to media reports, the wedding in Meerut was opened fire by the guests from the groom's side during the wedding.
The 22-year-old bride Iram's uncle was injured in the harsh firing. As a result, Iram refused to marry the groom, Shahzad. Iram said, 'How can I marry him? If their family is behaving like this in front of my entire family, how will they treat me when I'll live alone in their house?' As soon as the girl pronounced her verdict, her family broke the groom's car. At the same time, the groom's relatives were thrashed and taken hostage for some time. Police later reached the spot and controlled the situation. An FIR has been registered in the case. The bride's uncle has been admitted to the hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
Senior sub-inspector Ravindra Palawat of Kharkhoda police station told the media that "the shooters are being identified through video footage of the wedding. FIR has been registered against groom Shahzad, his brothers Pappu and Shanu under Section 307 (attempt to murder). If the firing is done through a licensed weapon, a report will be sent to cancel the license of the weapon.''
