Lucknow: In Meerut, UP, it was the daughter-in-law who gave her own father-in-law's betel nut and killed her. The property dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder. Police have arrested six accused including the accused daughter-in-law. However the shooters who committed the murder are still absconding. The case is of Thana Mawana area where farmer Satpal Singh was publicly shot dead outside his house on June 28. The biker slayer had fled the spot after committing the crime. The revelation of this blind murder mystery was nothing short of a challenge for the police. The family members were questioned and a case of property dispute came to light.

In fact, Satpal Singh's daughter-in-law Shalini's husband passed away 2 years ago, after which there were several disputes at home to get a share in the father-in-law's property. Meanwhile, Shalini and her family conspired to kill Satpal Singh, for which Zulfiqar, a resident of the village, and another accused arranged for shooters for Rs 6 lakh. About 2 months before the incident, Shalini along with her brother Lalit alias Tinu and father Bhopal had planned the murder. Shalini's brother Lalit alias Tinu sat zulfiqar alias Lalu on a bike and identified the spot and deceased Satpal in Village Tatina and also gave a passport size picture

At the same time, an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh was also given to the shooters in advance. Then, on June 28, Satpal Singh was killed. Police have currently arrested Shalini and 6 members of her family. The main accused shooters who carried out the murder are still out of police custody.
