Lucknow: Even after the enactment of a stringent law on love jihad and conversion in Uttar Pradesh, such incidents in the state are not taking the name of stopping. Anti-social elements are trying to directly challenge the government and the law by committing such incidents. The latest case has come to light from Etawah, where a man named Ramraj Yadav has complained that he used to work in a private clinic. During this time, Dr Farooqui Kamal forced him to become a Muslim. Ramraj claimed that after converting in the year 2019, his name was changed to Karam Hussain and given to read the Quran.

In this case, the UP Police on Friday (April 8) registered a case against the doctor and his two accomplices under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Conversion Act. Fraud has also been alleged in the case. Giving details of the case, Superintendent of Police Yashveer Singh said that Ramraj Yadav has accused a person from Dumariaganj of converting to the religion.

The Superintendent of Police said that Ramraj Yadav was lodged in jail on charges of mobile theft and was released recently. He said that investigation is being conducted in view of all aspects of the case.
