Lucknow: A crowd gathered at Mastan Miyan's tomb in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh has been accused of trampling farmers' crops worth lakhs of rupees. Local farmer Kamalcharanjit Singh has lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. In the complaint, the members of the Mazar Committee, the Maulana, as well as the drivers of many vehicles and the crowd that came to the Mazar have also been made accused. The incident is being told on the night of 20 May 2022 (Friday).

According to the complaint of farmer Kamalcharanjit Singh, "I am a resident of village Sisauna in Kotwali area. I have taken the Jaiswal farm for cultivation on lease for a year. I have grown crops here on 16 acres of land. On the night of May 20, the people of the Mazar Committee and Maulanas organized a big fair at Mastan Miyan's tomb in Mathna area without the permission of the administration. There was no plan for this fair before. A crowd of lakhs gathered at the fair, including thousands of people of the chaotic variety.''

Kamal Charanjit wrote in his complaint, "The chaotic elements involved in the mob broke the fence around my fields. After this, bikes and other vehicles were removed, crushing the standing crop in the fields. During this time, my sugarcane crop in 3 acres was destroyed. Due to which it cost me about 2.5 lakh rupees. When I, along with my servant, opposed the crushing of the crops, we were assaulted and abused. The crops of my neighbours along with me have also been trampled upon by the crowd gathered at the Mazar. In our crop fields, many people parked their cars.''

Along with his complaint, farmer Kamal Charanjit Singh has also handed over photographs of number plates of about 19 vehicles. Those vehicles have also been registered in the FIR. The aggrieved farmer has not only demanded action against the committee members and millions of Mustang Mazar but also demanded compensation for himself and the neighbouring farmers for his loss.
