Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district, a gambler husband made a deal for his wife's body in the greed of money. The wife alleged that he tried to push her into prostitution with friends. The woman was held hostage in Badaun. Where she was released through the women's police helpline. A case has been registered against eight accused, including the husband, at Thana Subhash Nagar.

The woman, a resident of a colony in Subhash Nagar, said she has married about 19 years ago. The husband blew her jewellery, and money into gambling after marriage. The woman's mangalsutra was sold. After this, he took the money and started serving it in front of his friends. Pushed into the prostitution. Later on January 20, he made a deal with a person in the Kunwar village area of ​​Badaun. She was kept hostage in Kunwar village. The woman informed the police helpline and district probation officer. On this, a team of police got him rescued from there. The complaint of the matter was given to the Subhashnagar police station. The police did not take action. After this, the woman reached the SSP office. On the orders of the SSP, a case has been registered against eight people including the husband at the Subhashnagar police station.

The woman has alleged that the husband was physically and mentally harassing her. He took away the money, he also sold the jewellery. She kept quiet because of her children. The husband threatened to force the children to beg and sell the house. Because of that, she endured persecution. But when the husband sold her to another. She then went to the police and took action.
