Lucknow: The police have solved the murder of a 12th standard student who had gone to Uttar Pradesh to appear for the exam from Delhi. Police said the student was murdered due to one-sided love. A young man living in the village was in love with the deceased. The student had turned down her marriage proposal, after which he killed her by slitting her throat with a knife. Police have arrested the accused. 

The accused, who was arrested by the police, said that after turning down his love proposal, he forcibly grabbed the student's hand. The first strangulated the student and dumped the body in the river. After reaching home, he suspected that the girl was alive, so he took a knife from the house and slit her throat and threw it there. In fact, the 18-year-old student, who was appearing for the UP Board intermediate examination from the house of her uncle in the village of Bhamora in Bareli district, suddenly went missing on Tuesday night. Her body was found in the river outside the village on Wednesday morning. The student had a scarf tight around her neck and was strangulated with a knife. The villagers immediately reported it to the police, after which the police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem and started investigating the matter and it was found that the body was of the student who went missing late at night.

The family members of the student were informed by the police in this regard. After this incident, mourning has spread among the family members of the girl student. The student had come from Delhi to her uncle's house in Bareilly to appear for the UP board exams. When the police searched the call details of the student to investigate the matter, then the whole matter came out in the open. The police took the accused Vikas into custody and he was strictly interrogated. So he accepted his crime. On his behest, the knife used in the murder has also been recovered by the police.
