Pratapgarh: A woman allegedly angered by her husband's refusal to take her home on Holi in Antu area of ​​Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district, killed her three-year-old son with a knife and stabbed him to death. Additional Superintendent of Police (Eastern) Surendra Dwivedi said on Tuesday that RaKesh's wife Kesh Kumari, who hails from Baijnath village of Antu police station area, had asked her husband to go to her mataernal house on Holi. When RaKesh denied this, there was a fight between the two.

Additional Superintendent of Police said that RaKesh went to sleep in his under-construction house on Sunday night and Kesh Kumari attacked his three-year-old son with a knife on Monday morning. He told that Kesh attempted to commit suicide by cutting her throat with a knife. Hearing his scream, the family reached the spot and found the blood-soaked child dead, while Kesh Kumari was seriously injured.

Dwivedi said that the family buried the body of the child on Monday morning without telling the police. On receiving this information, the police removed the body from the tomb and sent it for postmortem. Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
