Agra: When the police, created to protect the public, are accused of atrocities, then whom should the common citizens take their complaint to? A similar case has emerged from Agra. The police are accused of giving the third degree to the youth in Agra. It is alleged that the police had brought the youths to the police station for questioning, they were severely beaten for three days and kept closed.

Victimized youths have also shown wounds on their bodies. This case is of the police station Pinahat area under Agra district. Police has been accused here that the police picked up some youths for questioning on suspicion of theft, but the youth was given third degree by taking them to the police station. However, he was later left to deal with some money.

The victims allege that the police came to pick them up at night and asked to inquire about a teenager girl. They went to the police station but were brutally beaten in the police station for three days thereafter. There are also several wounds of beating on the victims' bodies. On this matter, Superintendent of Police, Rural Pramod Kumar says that the incident is being investigated, strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.
