Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again taken the lead in the infamous Kairana assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh for the much-hyped and infamous exodus of Hindus. Bjp's candidate Mriganka Singh has left behind Samajwadi Party's (SP) Nahid Hasan by nearly 12,000 votes. Mriganka Singh has so far received 39 thousand, while Nahid Hasan has received close to 27 thousand.
BJP candidate Ved Prakash Gupta is leading over SP candidate Tej Narayan Pandey by 10186 votes from Ayodhya share. The BJP is also leading in the Rudhauli seat, where BJP's Ramchandra Yadav has overtaken SP's Anand Sen by 4964 votes. In Bikapur seat also, BJP candidate Dr Amit Singh Chauhan is leading by 6872 votes, the second place is Firoz Khan Gabbar of SP. The Gosaiganj seat seems to be going to the SP's account, Abhay Singh of the SP is leading by 3007 votes and BJP candidate Aarti Tiwari is trailing behind. From Milkipur's seat, SP candidate Avdhesh Prasad is leading by 966 votes and BJP's Gorakhnath Baba is trailing behind.
This is happening in UP after almost 37 years when a government is coming back with an absolute majority again. In 2017 and 2022, the BJP is going to form the government with an absolute majority in UP. Earlier, this happened in the years 1980, 1985, when a government came back to power with an absolute majority. Congress then formed the government with 309 seats in 1980 and 269 in 1985.
