Lucknow: The ATS has arrested a suspected terrorist associated with terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The ATS has arrested terrorist Mohammad Nadeem, a resident of Gangoh in Saharanpur. According to the media report, in the interrogation of ATS, the terrorist told that he was given the task of beheading Nupur Sharma by the terrorists of Pakistan's Jaish.
According to the report, ATS has informed that inputs were received from agencies that Muhammad Nadeem, son of Nafees Ahmed, a resident of village Kunda Kalan in Gangoh police station of Saharanpur, was preparing for a fidayeen attack after being influenced by the radical Islamic ideology of Jaish-e-Muhammad and Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan. After which the suspected youth was arrested. When the terrorist's phone was checked, a document was recovered in it. Chats and voice messages have been received from his mobile with Jaish-e-Mohammed and TTP terrorists.
It is being told that Nadeem has confessed in the interrogation in front of UP ATS that he was given the task of killing Nupur Sharma by Jaish-e-Mohammed and TTP terrorists. The controversy erupted after former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma allegedly made controversial remarks on Islam's Prophet Mohammad. In many parts of the country, people of the Muslim community had created a ruckus over this issue.
According to the report, ATS has revealed that Muhammad Nadeem has been in touch with Jaish-e-Mohammed and TTP since 2018 through social media platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Facebook Messenger, and Clubhouse. He was preparing for a fidayeen attack influenced by the ideology of Jaish and Tehreek-e-Taliban. The ATS said that a PDF file related to the fidayeen blast was also recovered from Nadeem's mobile.
The UP Police has claimed that Mohammad Nadeem told interrogators that he was being called for special training by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan terrorists operating in Pakistan and Afghanistan. On which he would go to Pakistan with a visa and bring training from Jaish-e-Mohammed. At the same time, it is being said that Nadeem has also given information about some of his Indian contacts to the ATS. which is being further investigated.
