The western part of Uttar Pradesh is battling an enormous spike in cases of dengue, a mosquito-borne viral disease, according to reports from UP.  It is said that Firozabad and Mathura are the worst affected districts in the region where over 100 cases have been reported in past two weeks, and most of them are kids. The disease is now spreading rapidly to the eastern part of the state as well.

According to reports, as many as 105 fresh cases of dengue and viral fever surfaced on Sunday. September 5, and the patients were admitted to the government medical college. however, No death was reported during the day; 51 people have died so far in the district due to dengue and viral fever.

Meanwhile, Nodal officer Sudhir Kumar Bobde reportedly visited affected areas such as Sudama Nagar and Ailan Nagar, where he inquired about people's state of affairs and urged them to inform the health department in case of dengue and viral fever.
