Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has registered another major achievement in the battle against coronavirus infection. Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to conduct more than 20 million corona tests. On giving information on Saturday, Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that a total of 1,67,938 samples were tested in the state on a single day yesterday.

A total of 2,01,28,312 samples have been tested in the state. No other state has done such a large number of investigations. More than 40% of the total investigations in the state are now being done through RT-PCR. 65,929 samples from different districts were sent to various laboratories for RT-PCR examination on Friday. The number of active corona cases in the state has now reached 22,245. Of these 10,450 people are in exile. A total of 7,900 people died from infected people.

A total of 5,22,868 people have been recovered from Corona and discharged. Currently, the recovery rate is 94.5%. While the case fatality rate, the death rate is about 1.4%. He informed that 2,117 people are undergoing treatment in private hospitals. The remaining patients are availing medical facilities in L-1, L-2 and L-3 government hospitals.
