Uttar Pradesh: Boat overturned in Ghaghra river, 10 died

Lucknow: A major accident is reported in Dhorhara tehsil of Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. A boat has capsized in ghaghra river in Mirzapur village under the Thana Isanagar area of the district and 10 people present in it have been washed away in ghaghra river. Relief and rescue operations are underway on the spot. Tell us that the water level in the Ghaghra river is very high, causing a lot of problems for divers to find people.

According to reports, 10 people have drowned in the river in the Lakhimpur district on Wednesday morning after a boat capsized. At present, relief and rescue operations are underway on the spot. The drowning swells and their search is said to be underway. The incident took place in Mirzapur village under the Itanagar police station area of Dhorhara tehsil of Lakhimpur Kheri district. According to locals, some people were going by boat in the Ghaghra river on Wednesday morning. The flow of water in the river was very strong and that is why the boat capsized and 10 people on board were washed away in the Ghaghra river.

Police say the number of drownings in the river may be more or less. The DM and Superintendent of Police have rushed to the spot and also ordered for relief operations.
