Bulandshahr: In Uttar Pradesh, Muslim college students have complained to the police that they are being harassed for not wearing a burqa. College students of Khurja in Bulandshahar district met Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Isha Priya on Monday and informed them about the situation. He said that he is being forced and harassed by miscreants to wear a burqa.

Acting immediately on the complaint, SDM Isha Priya along with the station house officer (SHO) of the area reached the girls' area and held a meeting with the local residents. Authorities have warned the people of the area that they will be arrested by registering a complaint against the harassers of college students.

SDM Isha Priya has said, "Some crooks at Sarai Murtaza Colony were harassing girls and pressurizing them to wear burqas. " SDM met with locals and inspired them to send their daughters to college.
