Lucknow: A young woman from a colony in Modi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district has accused a youth of raping her for four years on the pretext of marriage. The victim says that the accused continued to have physical relations with her even when the marriage was fixed with another girl. The victim has lodged a complaint with the police station seeking action against the accused. Police said a case has been registered against the accused youth.
The victim said that some time ago, she came in contact with youth from Agra. The young man first extended a hand of friendship towards her and then later proposed for marriage. At this, she also agreed to the marriage. The girl has alleged that the youth kept having physical relations with her for about four years on the pretext of marriage. A few days ago, she came to know that the young man's relationship with another girl had been confirmed. When the young woman protested, the young man flatly refused to marry her.
The victim said that the accused showed her obscene photos and videos and said that if she insisted on marriage, he will make the video and pictures viral on social media. The accused then beat her up. When the girl told the family, they took her to the police station. Modinagar SHO Anita Chauhan said that a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the girl. Further action will be taken by recording the statement of the victim.
