Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh has registered 1514 new cases of corona virus infection in the last 24 hours. During this time, 4939 people have also recovered. The number of active cases has come down to 28,694. However 115 covid patients have died. The recovery rate in the state has gone up to 97.1 per cent. Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad has informed in this regard.

Let us tell you that the second wave of corona virus is now weakening. Corona curfew has now been opened in 64 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The number of active corona cases in these districts has come down to less than 600. Corona curfew is now in force in only 11 districts including Lucknow in the state. However, corona curfew is still in force in the state in the capital Lucknow, Varanasi, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Jhansi, Gautam Budh Nagar, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Bulandshahr. The number of active corona patients in all these districts is more than 600.

On the other hand, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed displeasure over negligence on the part of people during the relaxation of corona curfew in most districts of the state. He said that this exemption does not mean exemption of 'negligence'. A state government spokesperson said CM Yogi told the Team-9 meeting that, "Exemption from corona curfew does not mean exemption of negligence. In many districts, information has been received such as not wearing masks, unnecessary rush in markets, non-compliance of social distation. This situation is not good for anyone".
