Etawah: In Uttar Pradesh, a sensational incident has been witnessed on the day of Holi in the Etawah district. When some youths entered the house and beaten the elderly woman to death, refusing to make a ruckus outside the house. Moreover, the accused also brutally beaten the women and children who came to the rescue of the elderly woman.

The shocking case has come from the Meatic Tola locality of the Sadar Kotwali area. Superintendent of Police (Nagar) Prashant Kumar said that some youths were making liquor ruckus outside Rakesh Mathur's house on Holi in Mewati Tola locality. On stopping, the youngsters entered the house and thrashed the woman with brick and stone and poles. The drunken accused had beaten Munni Devi (60) to death. He said, two women, two girls, and a boy were beaten and injured by the rascals when they tried to save Munni Devi. Police are currently searching for the accused.

In another incident, a drunken drunkard at the main intersection of Iqbal town in the district ran a fast-waving tractor in a film style on Holi, injuring half a dozen passers-by on the roadside. Later, the drunken young man was captured by the regional people and handed over to the police. The injured have been sent to the District hospital.
