Lucknow: A train accident has been reported from Uttar Pradesh. A coal-laden goods train overturned on a dedicated freight corridor near Bharthana railway station in Etawah on Saturday. Due to this accident, about 110 meters of OHE line have been broken. However, normal rail traffic has not been affected due to the accident as the corridor has been specially designed for the operation of goods trains. The concerned employees are engaged in clearing the DFC track.   

According to the information received, the coal-laden goods train was coming towards Delhi from the Kanpur side. In the meantime, some coaches of this goods train with about 70 coaches suddenly derailed and overturned. It is being told that about 10 coaches derailed. As soon as the accident was reported, senior railway officials and concerned staff rushed to the spot and swung into action. The work of removing the derailed coaches is in progress. An Accident Relief Train (ART) has also been rushed to the spot from Tundla Junction in Firozabad.
