Gautam Budh Nagar: Gautam Budh Nagar District Police of Uttar Pradesh has arrested a notorious crook after an encounter. During the encounter, bullets were also hit in both feet of the crook. The arrested crook is named Umesh Pandit. District Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna said that an AK-47 rifle was also found from the arrested miscreant.

The arrested crook is the sharp-shooter of the Randeep Gang. A reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced on the arrest of Umesh Pandit. Senior Superintendent of Police has said that Umesh Pandit is a sharp shooter of dreaded category. He can kill anyone at a behest for money. The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police had been searching for Umesh Pandit for quite some time. On Wednesday, STF surrounded Umesh with police station Sector 24 of Noida, Kotwali Sector-20 and police station Bisarkh.

Umesh Pandit did not give up arms even after the police's lakh attempts. The police felt that as soon as they got the opportunity, they would target the police with an automatic lethal weapon like AK-47 in their hands, when the police got a chance and caught them by firing bullets in the legs. The SSP also said that, in fact, the entire operation was of the UP STF, but on receiving the information, the police of the three police stations supported the STF shoulder to shoulder to surround the rogue.
