Girl who got raped and burnt by his boyfriend deid

A 16 year old girl who got raped and burnt by her boyfriend on Sunday at Greater Noida’s Tigri village has died at New Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital on Wednesday. Cop said she had suffered 100% burn injuries.

Ashwani Kumar from Bishrakh Police station said “She died at about 3.30am. The body has been sent for postmortem at the same hospital. We are waiting for the report. The body will be handed over to the deceased’s family after the postmortem. We are in process to change the sections in FIR as charges of murders will be added”.

Police said “Cops arrested the culprit Ajay Kumar who allegely involved in the incident. And was in the relationship with the victim for over two years”

However, Ajay told police that he was tried to save her when she was threatening to immolate herself and his hands got some injuries.

While, the police have the recording of victim “we have the statement of the deceased and the accused. We are constructing the sequence of incident” Ashwani said.
