Lucknow: Children studying in madrasas in Uttar Pradesh will now read NCERT books. The UP government has brought a new gift for the madrasa students of the state. Minority Welfare Minister Laxminarayan Chaudhary has said that students studying in Madarsa will now be provided free NCEIRT books. With this, National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Scout-Guide training camps will be started at Madarsas.

Laxminarayan Chaudhary has said that the government aims to improve the future of children so that they can get better tomorrow. In addition to Arabic and Urdu, Hindi, English, Science, Mathematics and other subjects will also be studied in Madarsas. He said the Yogi Adityanath government is constantly making efforts to inculcate a sense of patriotism in the minds of students studying in Madarsa. In view of this, the Yogi government is introducing NCC and Scout-Guide training camps for students studying in Madarsa.

More than 500 madrasas are currently being operated in UP. Thousands of students study in all these madrasas. State governments make separate budgets for madrasas. At the same time, salaries and school expenses are also paid by the state government.  The UP government is working on madrasa education continuously. Earlier, the Yogi government had decided to implement the online registration of madrasas, full details of teachers and all other rules.
