Yogi government declares corona epidemic, all schools and colleges closed till 22 March

Lucknow: So far 76 cases of fatal coronavirus have been confirmed in India. Of which 59 are Indians and 17 are from Italy and Canada. At the same time, one person has died due to coronavirus in India. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Novel Coronavirus an epidemic, following which UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for action.

After this, the Yogi Adityanath government of UP has declared the coronavirus an epidemic. With this, an order has been issued to close all schools and colleges till 22 March. CM Yogi Adityanath has taken this decision in a meeting with officials in Lucknow, capital of UP. The decision will be reviewed on March 20, after which further decisions will be taken.

After the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath told a press conference that 11 cases of coronavirus have been registered in UP so far. Treatment of 10 is being done in Delhi and one is being treated at King George Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow. We had been preparing for almost a month and a half to fight Corona and we have all the resources to rescue. There are 448 berths reserved in 24 medical colleges. These medical colleges also have the facility to test samples.
