Lucknow: Madarsa teacher recruitment will also now be on the lines of the TET exam. It is named MTET, i.e. Madarsa TET. The Yogi Adityanath government in UP is going to implement a madrasa teacher eligibility test on the lines of the teacher eligibility test. The Yogi government will take back the right to fill up the posts of teachers in all government-aided madrasas from the management committees and appoint teachers in madrasas through the Madarsa Teacher Eligibility Test.

Until now the managing committee used to have the power to appoint teachers in madrasas. In such a situation, many times there were also allegations of nepotism in the recruitment. The managers used to recruit whomever they wanted. Especially many times the managers used to make their relatives teachers in madrasas. At present, a total of 482 posts of teachers of madrasas are lying vacant. Along with this, 49 principal posts are also vacant. Soon the government will release the draft of the MTET exam.

An important decision was taken in the recent meeting of the madrasa education council in UP. Now from the new session, the national anthem will be sung in each madarsa before the class starts. The Registrar of The Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Education Council has issued orders in this regard. Apart from this, now a biometric system will be installed for the attendance of the teacher in each madarsa.
