Lucknow: A case of love jihad has surfaced in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur area. Rajesh Yadav caught Abdul Mobin, a young woman from Moudah town, almost 4 years ago. Then he took her with him and drove her away from home. He was afterwards forcibly converted and exiled alongside him. On the complaint of the victim, a case has been filed against the accused under several parts of the law, including the conversion statute.

The event was brought to light by the victim's family and Bajrang Dal leader Ashish Singh, who filed a complaint with the district superintendent of police on Tuesday (November 23, 2021). Given the gravity of the situation, an investigation was ordered. The victim stated in a police report that the accused began communicating to her over the phone four years ago. He went under the name Rajesh Yadav at the time. The girl, believing herself to be a Hindu, fell into the same trap as the accused and pursued a connection with him. The accused enticed the girl out of the house when he saw she was entirely stuck in her trap. He was first taken to Balrampur. He then took her to Mumbai where she forcibly converted to Islam and married her. After nikah, the young woman was renamed Ayesha Mobin. Abdul also used to assault the girl. Time passed and the accused also had a child. Then one day suddenly he came to know that Abdul Mobin was already married. He had also done nikah with three girls in the past.

Later, somehow, the victim came out of her clutches and reached her home. On the orders of the Superintendent of Police, action has been taken against the accused at Modha police station under sections 420, 376, 461 and POCSO Act of IPC. According to the report, the victim minor went missing from her home about 4 years ago in 2018. His family had also filed a missing report in the case but the police could not trace him.
