Hapur: A fire broke out while performing a feat by filling petrol in the mouth at a function organized on the occasion of Janmashtami. Eight people, including five children, who came to watch the event in the incident, suffered severe burns. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The incident took place at Mohalla Garhi in Pilkhuwa Kotwali area of Hapur district.

According to the information received, the program was organized on the occasion of Janmashtami at Mohalla Garhi in the Pilkhuwa Kotwali area of District Hapur. Many people from nearby had arrived to watch the event. During this time, a variety of feats were performed by the organizers at the event. Meanwhile, a young man was performing a feat by filling his mouth with petrol when suddenly a fire broke out at the venue. This was followed by a stampede among the people. Eight spectators, including five children, suffered burn injuries in the accident. With the help of locals, the scorched people have been admitted to a nearby private hospital where all the injured are undergoing treatment.

On the other hand, Janmashtami was celebrated with gaiety at many temples in Mathura on Monday. At 12 o'clock on Monday night, the statue of Radhakrishna, dressed in a Harichandrika dress, was unveiled at the Bhagwat Bhawan temple in Sri Krishna Janmasthan in Mathura and the temple complex erupted with the slogan of Jai Shri Krishna.
