Lucknow: Hindu Mahasabha activists have objected to offering namaz on the road outside the Imli Wali Masjid in Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday (April 3, 2022). The organisation demanded that the prayers be offered not on the street, but inside the mosque. Let us know that this mosque is present in the jaggery market of Agra. In fact, Raunak Thakur, the district president of the Hindu Mahasabha, while talking to the media in this matter, has said that the Muslim community does not allow shops to run during prayers.

He claimed that people from the Muslim community block the road, due to which emergency vehicles like ambulances usually get stuck. He said, “The shopkeepers have to close their shops early and move their vehicles away from the road. If someone's vehicle is not released on time, they call the police and get the shopkeeper fined. Raunak Thakur further said that when the police officers reached the spot, they requested them to stop the protest and asked the Muslim community to open a part of the road to ensure the movement of traffic.

Raunak Thakur says 'We agree to allow them to offer Namaz, but the condition will be that a part of the road remains open. Our workers will check the situation in the evening and if they do not comply with those conditions, we will protest back. We cannot allow them to occupy public places, creating inconvenience to shopkeepers and commuters.' Hindu Mahasabha spokesperson Sanjay Jat questioned why they were not allowed to recite Hanuman Chalisa when Namaz could be offered on the road. On this issue, SP City Vikas Kumar says that the situation is under control and the matter has been resolved.
