Lucknow: A case of honor killing has come to light in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. Here the mother who was angry seeing the vermilion of boyfriend's name in head of an unmarried minor daughter killed her daughter. The mother had accused the daughter's boyfriend of murder and rape after the murder. However, the investigation found the allegation to be false. The mother has been arrested for the time being.

In fact, on the night of August 28, police in the Thana Baidpura area received information that a 17-year-old girl had hanged herself. After the information, the police conducted a postmortem of the body and the report revealed the murder, on the basis of which the police launched an investigation, it was found that this was the mother who killed her daughter. Additional Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh said that the mother of the deceased girl saw vermilion in her head and she used to apply vermilion of her boyfriend's name, which angered the mother and she strangled her to death. Police have arrested the girl's mother and sent her to jail.

The mother told police that her daughter was unmarried and she used to apply vermilion in her head, which made her angry one day, after which she strangled her during a scuffle with her daughter. On the day of the incident, the mother had accused a village boy of rape and murder, which the police had become active about and started investigating.
