Lucknow: The outbreak of corona is still visible in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. The latest case has come to light from city Kotwali area of Hapur where the body of a corona infected person was cremated on Thursday after nearly two and a half months for not having Rs 15,000. The deceased youth was found to be infected with corona in the month of April who was referred to Meerut during treatment. The youth had died during treatment in Meerut.
During that time, the man's wife was told by the doctors at the hospital that it would take Rs. 15,000 to give the body for the funeral, only then the body would be given, otherwise we would cremate the body. The wife then came to Hapur to arrange the money, but she could not arrange Rs. 15,000 for the body and she did not go to collect the body thinking of being cremated by the hospital and went to her village with her two children from Hapur. Now, about two and a half months later, the hospital recovered the body. The body was kept by the hospital waiting for the family.
When no one came to collect the body even after two and a half months, Meerut hospital handed over the body to Hapur health department and Hapur health department placed the body at GS Medical College three days ago. After that, with the help of the administration, they started looking for the family members. The body was handed over to the family when they were traced on Thursday and the body was cremated through NGO. But when the innocent child and wife of the deceased arrived at the crematorium for the funeral, their tears did not stop. The body of the deceased is not kept from the hospital for long, but the case has once again questioned the health system.
