Lucknow: Video of the beating of thieves after they were caught red-handed in a customer service centre is going viral on social media.  The three Dalit youths, who were caught red-handed, have been arrested by the police on charges of theft. Police are now trying to find out who are the people who stripped off the clothes and beat them up. The case has come to light from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh.

The Union Bank has a customer service centre in the Gulalpur area of Jaunpur district. It is alleged that at around 1 p.m. on Friday night, three youths riding a number less bike arrived there with the intention of stealing. Govid, a resident of Gabiran village in Sarai Khwaja police station area, tried to break the lock of Rahul and Sadabraj alias Sunil Nilesh Customer Service Centre. When the sound came, the people nearby woke up and the three started running away from the bike. Some people in the market chased them and knocked them down and grabbed one of them.

He was beaten up at night and held hostage. Two other accused were also apprehended from the house when the accused were told in the morning. The trio stripped off and sat only underwear, and the three villagers publicly thrashed with kicks, belts, etc. When the villagers were tired of beating the three, they were later handed over to the police. Police are investigating the case.
