Lucknow: A new case of conversion has come to light from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Babupurwa police in Kanpur have recovered the kidnapped girl from Mumbai four months ago. The Muslim youth from Jaunpur is said to have become a Hindu and was first introduced by the girl on Facebook. One day Siraj called her to meet him and kidnapped the girl as she grew closer. She was then forcibly converted and taken to Mumbai with him. Police have arrested the accused Siraj Ali and his helper Abdul Ghaffar.

According to reports, Babupurwa police station in-charge Devendra Vikram Singh said that a 19-year-old girl from the area had gone missing on March 16. Her father had lodged an FIR with the police station about the abduction of the daughter. Police recovered the girl from Mumbai with the help of surveillance. The girl told police that Siraj Ali of Jaunpur had befriended the girl by becoming Shivam on Facebook. He then trapped her in his love trap and kidnapped her. The victim said Siraj forcibly expelled her after she converted to Islam. After that, he started raping her every day. The girl suspects that she became pregnant. She is being examined along with a medical test. Further action will be taken in the matter after the completion of the investigation. He was also supported by Siraj's friend Abbu Abdul Ghaffar. Police have arrested Abbu and his son.

The police station in-charge said that during the investigation it has come to light that Siraj Ali had maintained more than 12 accounts under various names including Shivam, Satyam, Raj. Through this, he traps the girls in his love trap and kidnaps them, and converts them.
