Lucknow: A lawyer was shot dead inside a court in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in a miscreant. The body of the lawyer has been recovered from the third floor of the court. After the murder, the accused killed him and fled. The incident has created a sensation in the entire district. The DM-SP along with heavy police force also rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported.

According to reports, Advocate Bhupendra Pratap Singh (age 36), a resident of Idgah street in Shahjahanpur, started practising in the court two years ago. Earlier, he used to work as teaching. Bhupendra Singh's body was found on the third floor of the court on Monday. Bhupendra is said to have gone to the record room on the third floor to check the documents. There is no movement of more people here. At around 12.15 pm, the assailants shot Bhupendra with a knife and fled. He was shot from behind.

Bhupendra was also reported to have 18 cases registered against him. The firing rocked the court campus. All the lawyers rushed to the spot. Bhupendra Singh was lying in the gallery covered in blood. . Police immediately cordoned off the gates and conducted searches but the result was nil. Police have seized the body and rushed it for postmortem. District Collector Indra Vikram Singh and Superintendent of Police S Anand also rushed to the spot. He inquired about the incident. He also questioned the lawyers.
