Mahoba: A controversy over molestation in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh has assumed a formidable form, injuring more than a dozen people. It is reported that 13 people have been injured in a violent clash on two sides on Sunday in connection with the case of molesting a minor girl in Emilia village under the Srinagar police station area of the district. It is being told that the case is three months old.

Giving information, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajendra Kumar Gautam has told that there was a violent clash on Sunday evening in the two sides of Emilia village of Srinagar police station area. People of both sides attacked each other with sharp weapons and sticks. 13 people have been injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the government hospital for treatment. After which an FIR has been lodged by both the parties.

While giving the information, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kalu Singh has said that a dispute was going on between Malkhan and Asharam about the case of molesting a minor girl three months ago. After which some people started abusing Malkhan after drinking alcohol in Asharam's field on Sunday. At the same time, Malkhan's sons working in the adjacent field protested, and after that the matter caught fire.
