Mathura: In the case of raping a six-year-old child three years ago in the Vrindavan police station area of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, the court has sentenced the accused youth to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 10 thousand rupees. If the penalty is not paid, the convict will face an additional three-month sentence.
Assistant District Government Counsel Subhash Chaturvedi said that since the case was three years ago, the victim's father, a resident of Vrindavan Thanh area, had complained that his 6-year-old son was playing with children outside the house at 8:00 pm on August 31, 2017. It was then that he suddenly disappeared, the next day at 6:00 am, he was found lying in a bad condition outside the house. He said that on sensation, the child told that a labourer of the factory located on Parikrama Marg had pressed his mouth and took it with him and had misbehaved with him.
Chaturvedi said that knowing that the victim's father reached the factory with the son, Raju, a village resident of Govardhan area, started fleeing after seeing the child, who was caught and handed over to the police. He said that the case was heard in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (Posco Act) Jahinder Pal Singh, where the court convicted the accused and sentenced him to ten years rigorous imprisonment and fine of ten thousand rupees.
