Lucknow: The ward boy of a hospital in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has been accused of raping the patient. It is alleged that the ward boy raped the girl admitted in the ICU by injecting drugs. An FIR has been registered at Lisari Gate police station after the case came to light. UP police have taken the accused into custody and further action is being taken. The accused Quasim is a resident of Ghosipur village in Kharkhoda.

The 18-year-old victim lives with her family in Majidnagar. He was admitted for treatment at the care nursing home on Hapur Road after he had fever. The girl alleged that she was raped by the accused Qasim around 3 pm. He threatened to inject poison if the victim told anyone about the incident. The victim was then discharged from the hospital on Thursday (May 29, 2021). She told her sister-in-law about the incident after going home. The victim then reached Lisari Gate police station along with the family members and lodged a complaint. Police are interrogating the accused Qasim. When the police examined the footage CCTV the hospital, it was found that the accused ward boy was flirting with the victim's body around 3 pm. The cameras remained switched off for the next 40 minutes. It is said to be the the camera was switched off olby Qasim.

Police have taken possession of the footage CCTV. It is Feared that his deeds should not be recorded, so it was Qasim who stopped the CCTV for 40 minutes. After the complaint was lodged, some members of the accused party rushed to the police station and pressured the family members of the victim to compromise but CO Amit Rai said the matter will be thoroughly investigated. The family members alleged that the victim was injected with sedation before the rape.
