Lucknow: On Sunday, acting on a tip-off the Uttar Pradesh police busted a Kidney racket and arrested six people in connection with the case from Kanpur. Allegedly, the gang was discussing their plot casually at a local restaurant. According to a source report, the gang had roped in wealthy recipients from abroad, in countries like Sri Lanka, Turkey after trapping gullible donors from across the country and their run in on international level. Source report claimed that this multi-crore racket flourished for six years and functioned in three states Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

Reportedly, It is worth to be known that a special investigation team was formed to get to the bottom of the racket and the officers were dispatched to Delhi and Kolkata to intensify the probe. Senior Superintendent of police, Kanpur Anantdeo told six gang members were arrested on Sunday, but the mastermind for the Kolkata is still on the run. The Station House Officer, Naubasta, Samar Bahadur Yadav also told  to source report that a donor named Saboor was promised Rs 4 lakh but he only received Rs 2.5 lakh after his kidneys were transplanted.

Meanwhile, the police further told to source report that these accused used to prepare fake papers to show that the donor was relative of the patient. Here these fake documents included Aadhaar, Voter Id, passbooks of banks for the operation. Further investigation to cathch mastermind of gang is underway.
