Meanwhile, the situation in Uttar Pradesh is getting out of control from corona. Lucknow, the state capital, remains an APCentre in a way. On the one hand, the number of corona infected people in Lucknow has been steadily increasing, while on the other hand, the government's vaccination drive to prevent corona has also slowed down. Looking at the figures for the last one week, the pace of vaccination in Lucknow has slowed down and the number of vaccinators is showing a decline. On April 19, a programme of vaccination of corona vaccine was organized at 44 government hospitals and similar private centres in Lucknow, with a total of 5229 beneficiaries vaccinated.

3863 people were vaccinated in government hospitals and 1366 at immunization centres set up in private hospitals. Significantly, there were more senior citizens and a total of 2,104 people got the second dose of the vaccine, while only 607 people got the first dose.
