Lucknow: Police has got a big success in the case of illegal weapons. The Special Task Force (STF) of the UP Police has uncovered a factory for making illegal weapons in Meerut. The STF conducted a raid for this. During this time, the police have seized a large consignment of weapons from the spot. 

During the raids, the UP STF has also seized the machines and tools used to make illegal weapons. At the same time, UP STF has arrested 8 accused in this case. It is being told that the STF has seized 135 illegal weapons and 36 live cartridges from the possession of these accused. Earlier last year, the Meerut Police had uncovered two illegal arms manufacturing factories here. During this time, the police arrested 140 accused. 

Ten teams were formed by SSP Ajay Sahni of Meerut to campaign against the arms factories. This team arrested 140 people in action. During this period, the police received 179 gunmen of 315 bore, 35 gunmen of 12 bore, 2 gunmen of 30 bore, half 12 pistols, one pistol of 32 bores, revolver native 38 bore-one, unloaded guns 12 bore-2, Rifle 315 bore -1, and 4 cars were recovered. Apart from this, weapons of making weapons were also recovered on large scale.
