Aligarh: A case of assault on a Muslim married woman and shaving her hair has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district. According to the information received so far in the case, after badly beating the woman, the accused shaved the bride's head and paraded her around the entire village beating her like an animal.

According to media reports, the police came to know about the case when the neighbours shaved her hair and gave the victim to the Hathras resident's parents. It is being said that the family members first took the victim with them to Hathras. And later they pleaded for justice from the Superintendent of Police and lodged an FIR at the Mahila Police Station. According to the report, the family of the victim Muslim woman said, "Gulbshah has married Alimuddin of Police Station Akrabad in Aligarh five years ago. After which they also had a son, who is 4 years old.''

According to the complaint, the woman's family had also given dowry at the time of the marriage. Even after this, Alimuddin's family members kept demanding dowry from her daughter and were constantly beating her up. When the woman did not listen to them, they thrashed the woman on the night of April 18, 2022, shaved her hair and rolled her around in the village. After the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, in this case, a complaint was lodged against the accused husband and his family at the women's police station of Hathras. At the same time, after the case, it has also come to light that with the help of Akrabad police, the accused husband Alimuddin has been arrested and handed over to Hathras police. Further action in the case is being taken by Hathras police.
