Banda: A case of rape of a five-year-old girl in a village under Girwa police station area of Banda district of Uttar Pradesh has been reported late Friday evening. In this case, the police have arrested the accused. The Deputy Superintendent of Circle Officer (CO) Nareni Siyaram said, on Saturday that at about 8 p.m. on Friday evening, a village youth, Kallu Rajput (23), took a five-year-old neighborhood girl to a desolate place by paying Rs 10 and raped her.

The police officer informed about the case and said that after the accused was released from his possession, the girl rushed to her home crying and told the family about the entire incident. He said that when the family went to report the incident to the accused's house at night, the accused and his family had been abusive and threatened to kill them.

The CO said that kallu has been arrested in the POCSO Act by registering an FIR of the incident at night. At the same time, three of his families have been charged with threatening to kill them. He said, the victim has been admitted to a government hospital in the district in critical condition for treatment, and the police force has been deployed in the village from a security point of view.
