Lucknow: A case of a 16-year-old minor forcibly marrying a mother of two children by changing her religion has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur. The video of the marriage is also going viral on social media. Initially, the police did not register a case even after receiving the complaint, after which Bajrang Dal activists created a ruckus outside Kakadev police station, then the police registered an FIR. In this case, the police have arrested four people, including the Maulvi.
The atmosphere in the area has become tense after videos of religious conversion and marriage surfaced. It is being told that the 16-year-old minor, who lives in Navin Nagar in Kakanagar, had come in contact with a family. The minor's activities were suspicious for a few days. On Sunday, the minor suddenly disappeared for a few hours. It is alleged that on Sunday itself, the minor was taken to Jajmau and converted to Islam.
After this, the minor was married to Simran, the daughter of Mohammad Hanif and she also has two children. Additional DCP (West) Brijesh Srivastava said that the application of the minor's mother has been received. A case has been registered at Kakadeo police station. After the investigation, strict action will be taken by arresting the culprits.
