Bahraich: A case of rape of an innocent 2-year-old girl has come to light in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. There the accused picked up the girl from her house late at night and later fled leaving her in a pathetic condition in the school toilet. The accused was arrested outside the school when villagers launched a search for the girl. He tried to escape to escape from the police but was arrested after the encounter.

According to reports, Parshuram's son Manger, 30, kidnapped the girl at 1 pm on June 22, 2021. The family initially thought that the girl had been picked up by a wild animal. But when the search for him started, people found the accused near the school, 100 metres from home. When asked strictly, he said that he had hidden the girl in the toilet. The girl was immediately admitted to the Community Health Centre in Nanpara after seeing her covered in blood. He was later referred to the district hospital where the girl succumbed to her injuries as the condition was critical. Meanwhile, the villagers handed over the accused to the police, but there he tried to escape and sustained bullet injuries in the encounter with the police.

Bahraich police took to social media Twitter to give an update in this regard. Police said, the accused has been arrested under POCSO and NSA sections. The accused appeared before the court after a medical check-up. Police said the accused was fleeing from police custody and running towards the forest, so they opened fire in the air, but when there was no hearing after the warning, the police also had to shoot him in the leg to catch him back.
