Varanasi: A person working as a Pakistani agent has been arrested from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. In the joint operation of the Military Notification Unit and UP ATS, the person sending information to Pakistani ISI agents has been arrested. The arrested accused has been identified as Rashid Ahmed. He is a resident of Chandauli and has visited Pakistan twice.

In the interrogation after the arrest, the accused Rashid has admitted that he used to take pictures on his mobile phone and send it to Pakistan. The accused is being strictly interrogated. Efforts are being made to know from him what information about the country he has leaked. An effort is being made to know that the wires of the accused and with whom, are connected.

Varanasi is the parliamentary constituency of PM Narendra Modi. In this context, this area is considered sensitive.
