Lucknow: Several old videos of Umar Gautam arrested for operating a conversion racket in Uttar Pradesh have surfaced. Umar Gautam himself claims to have released documents on conversion of nearly 1,000 people at the Islamic Claim Centre, Jamia Delhi. The Islamic Claim Center reportedly documents conversions of more than 15 people a month.

According to up police sources, Omar Gautam has admitted that the Islamic Claim Centre has conversions to England, Singapore, Poland, and that people accepting Islam is doing Allah's job. The video of Umar Gautam's agreement has come to light, making a big revelation in the conversion case. It may be recalled that on June 20, the UP ATS busted a racket that converted Hindus to weaker and marginal sections. UP police had arrested two persons, Umar Gautam, head of the Islamic Claim Centre, and Qazi Mufti Jahangir Alam (involved in making legal documents related to conversion).

The racket of conversion was exposed after 12-15 deaf and dumb youths studying in noida def society were lured into conversion. Inquiries revealed that the Islamic Claim Centre was running a conversion centre in NCR and Omar Gautam himself had converted more than 1000 people, including a large number of young women.
