Uttar Pradesh police attacked by cow vigilantes in Firozabad once again

New Delhi: Just days after Subodh Kumar, a police inspector was allegedly massacred during the Bulandshahr violence, Uttar Pradesh police were once again thrashed by cow vigilantes in Firozabad. The police had allegedly gone to release the cattle locked up in a government school in Firozabad when they were attacked with stones by the local villagers. The police were reportedly responding to a complaint from the school teachers, who asserted that they were forced to teach the children outside the school, as the cow vigilantes had kept the cows inside.
As per the reports Times Now channel, the state government has questioned the Animal Husbandry Department to place for cow shelters, however, the same have yet not been set up. This is reportedly the third such occurrence that has held in Uttar Pradesh in the recent past.
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party expressed hopes that the ruling BJP, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will show an goals to act against cow vigilantes.
 "The government must come up with a systematic way. I hope that the government will take stringent action," Ghanshyam Tiwari, the spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party stated.
